The Deane family contacted us to do a very special Family Session this holiday weekend. It was a suprise for AJ and Margaret. They were married in Northern Ireland fifty-one years ago! It is a pretty rare occasion that this family is all together at the same time with some living in Detroit and some living in Chicago and the oldest grandson in Holland, Michigan in college. We all met in Indiana at the Pink House where the family was spending the Holiday weekend.

With the blustery weather typical of a late fall day on Lake Michigan, the enclosed back porch was the most comfortable place to start taking pictures. Everybody took turns going in and getting warm.

This was the first family portrait of these for since Janet was 17.
Here are Janet and Doug.

Here are Shelly and Al. Janet had told us that Shelly and Al and their kids were used to having professional pictures taken. Shelly was, in fact, so awesome that we could use her as an assistant. She had a way of gathering people and getting them set and smiling. She made our job easy!

Emily, Kevin, and Sarah, what a great bunch of kids.
And here is one of the whole gang.

What a gorgeous family with great smiles! The kids were especially awesome! Sarah & Emily are beautiful young ladies. Kevin the college student took such good care of his grandparents that we were impressed. Here is a special one we took of him and his grandfather in their caps. My do they look dapper!

We did venture down to the walkway to Lake Michigan to get some outdoor portraits. Thank goodness for hot chocolate! It was really cold down there. This family did great though.

And one more of AJ and Margaret.

Thank you so much Deane family. Friends and family click and register HERE to be notified when all of the pictures will be ready for viewing.

Loved this selection of photos and your commentary on the day. It was a fun Thanksgiving weekend having the group shots and traveling from space to space for the photos. Thank you so much for your patience and time on Black Friday.
Glad you liked them Shelly! We had a great time! You have a great family.
